Leonard Peltier is Free

It is a wonderful and joyful thing to hear that Leonard Peltier will spend his final days outside the iron cage, the cage that held him for nearly five decades.
He will breathe the air he breathed when he was young. He will be surrounded, with a little luck, by his loved ones. granddaughters, great-granddaughters and great-grandsons.
He will live among his people in South Dakota, where he spent his youth as a member of the American Indian Movement.
And he will be remembered as a warrior for his people, a fantastic artist, and a loving member of the human tribe, a man who remained true to himself despite the ills of time and age.
You know, good news sometimes comes when we least expect it. This is a good day.
